Shipping and customs
Shipped from Spain. Every piece travels protected, tracked and insured.
1. How each piece is prepared
Every artwork is packed by hand in the studio: corner protection, bubble wrap and a rigid made to measure box. All original work travels signed and with its certificate of authenticity.
2. Delivery times
- Preparation: 2 to 4 working days after payment is confirmed (oil paintings need to be fully dry and varnished before they travel).
- Mainland Spain: 24 to 72 hours after dispatch.
- Europe: 3 to 7 working days.
- United States, Canada, Mexico and Switzerland: 7 to 15 working days with Correos (Spanish Post), depending on customs clearance.
- Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore and Saudi Arabia: 8 to 20 working days with Correos (Spanish Post), depending on customs clearance.
3. Shipping costs
These rates apply to work up to 20 × 20 cm (7.9 × 7.9 in), the format that can be bought directly on the website. Shipping for larger work is quoted individually depending on the destination.
- Mainland Spain: shipping included in the price.
- Balearic Islands: €18.
- European Union: €22.
- United States, Canada, Mexico and Switzerland: €35 (small format work). Duties, taxes and import fees are paid by the recipient.
- Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore and Saudi Arabia: €40 (small format work). Duties, taxes and import fees are paid by the recipient.
- Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla and overseas territories (and other territories with special customs rules, such as Åland or Puerto Rico): we do not currently ship to these destinations.
- Other countries and large format work: write to me and I will prepare a quote.
Studies on fabric remnants (13 × 18 cm) travel flat, in a rigid envelope and by tracked mail, so they have their own rates: mainland Spain, included; Balearic Islands, €10; European Union, €15; United States, Canada, Mexico and Switzerland, €20; Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore and Saudi Arabia, €25.
4. Customs, taxes and duties
Original hand painted works are declared under tariff heading 9701 (original works of art), which is duty free in most countries, including the United States and the European Union.
Please note: import taxes, destination country VAT and any carrier handling fees are paid by the buyer and are due on arrival. These amounts are set by each country and are not part of the artwork price or the shipping cost.
Every international shipment travels with a detailed proforma invoice identifying the piece as an original work executed entirely by hand by the artist, with its true declared value.
5. Tracking and insurance
All shipments include a tracking number, sent by email as soon as the work leaves the studio. Every piece is insured for its declared value.
6. If something goes wrong
If the work arrives damaged, please write within 48 hours to hola@jessicadominguezart.com with photographs of the packaging and the piece. A replacement or full refund will be arranged.
If a shipment is held at customs, the artist will provide all documentation needed to release it.
